Postcard From Ayia Napa
More Murals

This is part of possibly my favourite street art in Cyprus. A huge length of wall has been used to produce a stunning scene.

Art Meets Life

I loved this part of the mural especially. Expect to see more shots of this on the new sites. It is a real masterpiece.
Ayia Napa

Driving into Ayia Napa itself was a pleasant surprise too. There is a fair amount of street art, and the town was very pretty in places. Obviously, there are tourist strips, which look pretty much the same as any other tourist strip. But Ayia Napa has plenty of charm too, if you bother to look for it. There are a lot more murals than this, but we will save them for the art site, as this blog is already getting quite long.
Fancy Water Tank

I mean, I don't think I've seen a prettier water tank than this on my travels in Cyprus. Have you?
Church Cave

This church, Agioi Saranta, was another good find, and reminiscent of some of the weird and wonderful churches we have found in the Paphos region. The chamber you can see at the top of the hill was actually the attic, if that makes sense. If you went into the lower chamber and looked up, you would see light from the top.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
