Free Sunbeds!
Not only that, but the sunbeds were provided by the municipality free of charge. Presumably it wouldn't be cost effective to have an attendant present for so few sunbeds, but it was a nice touch. They could have just left the beach empty.
Good For Snorkelling!
If a dog could snorkel, it would probably love it here even more. We went snorkeling about 100 metres the other side of this outcrop and it was lovely.
So, full marks to the Municipality of Paralimni. They have treated their residents like adults, and their residents have responded.
And So, to Polis
The dog beach near Polis can be found just off the road to the Baths of Aphrodite.
Mind The Road
There is plenty of parking, but the road to it can be a bit tricky, so take it carefully.
Here We Are Then
The sign for the dog beach isn't quite as informative as the ones we found in Paralimni. And what's with the No Entry sign?
But signs aren't everything. What was the beach itself like?

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
