Ancient Monument of the Holy Cross, Kallepeia
Kallepeia is a lovely village to the north of Paphos, just past Minthis Hills Golf Resort. It features a number of nice taverns as well as a well-hidden viewpoint that overlooks the surrounding valleys. If you take the path up to see it you will also find the remains of an ancient monastery.
Agios Georgios

We start at the main church in Kallepeia. Ayios Georgios is fairly large, as village churches go. We also made a virtual tour of the area, so you can have a bit more of a wander around the grounds using that. You will see a link on the next page of this blog.
Head For The Tavern

To get to the ruins, you should head past this tavern. We have yet to eat here. Having said that, we have yet to eat in the tavern on the other side of Ayios Georgios either. Both are reputed to be very nice, so we shall have to rectify that soon.
Follow The Arrow

The grounds here are very well kept. We didn't see any litter.
Up The Stairs

I imagine during peak times this place must get quite busy. The trees here provide plenty of shade from the hot sun, so it would be a lovely place to eat your souvlaki.
Holy Cross

This is what you will find at the top of the hill. Well, there is a sign here too, with a map of Paphos, as well as some shaded seating. But this is the ruin.
We first found this place when we were geocaching before we moved to Cyprus. The cache is still here, somewhere...
