Our second visit on Friday, the first being not long after it had opened I think. The restaurant is located on the edge of the "Triangle" opposite the "University of Paphos". Owned and run by a Romanian Canadian Couple, it specialises in what best can be dscribed as "Home Cooked Canadian" fare. We went back for the Ribs...well my wife did..billed as the best in Paphos...and they certainly take a lot of beating! I had a burger, not my usual choice when dining out but it was beautiful, a juicy beef pate, slightly char grilled on the outside with salad, guacamole and a spicy chilli sauce. Price wise I thought it was pretty resonable..just over €50 for a shared starter, two mains, bottle of red, water, coffee and a flaming sambuca! A lovely evening in pleasant surroundings and lovely owners. Oh and they source their meat from Kolios.

We tried Embers yesterday and we weren’t disappointed! Mrs Aquila had the special halluomi which was coated in honey and seasame followed by (in her words) the best Ceasar salad she has had here and a Raspberry Cheese Cake. I had the Chicken wings (6 pcs) in Chipotle Sauce and the main was portobello mushroom chicken served in a creamy garlic sauce with fresh veg and vermicelli. All of the above with 3 pints of Alfa Beer was €45.00

At present there are no downstairs loos but there are plans in place to have one in place in March.

Our next visit will be to try the Sunday Lunch, 3 courses at €19.95 including a bottle of wine for two people.

If there was start rating I could put here then it would be top marks for food, service and value for money.
