Vournia Nature Trail
To The Left

Rather than walk through this gate, which leads to some farmland, you need to take the path that runs to the left of it.

Flora

Μοσφιλια
Mosphilia ( Crataegus azarolus ) is a very hardy Mediterranean shrub or tree. It thrives in Troodos up to an altitude of 1800 meters in very acidic to very alkaline soils (Ph 5-9). It grows slowly and can reach up to 2-5 meters.
Mosfilia is a deciduous tree. It blooms in May usually producing beautiful small and many white flowers and its fruits ripen in October. Both its flowers and its fruits have excellent properties and are very beneficial for human health. From the flowers we can make a very nice tea. We make a wonderful jam from the fruits, the mosfilas.

If I had to find one criticism for this route it would be this next section. It was getting a little overgrown and in a few weeks will need some TLC.
Tunnel Hill

As you follow the path, you can get a better view of the tunnel on the left.
Grumpy Guard

The farmland we are walking past is guarded by this hound.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
