The Stroumbi Bedford Bus
End Of The Pipeline

Indeed, it looks as if a local farmer is using it as a make-shift storage shed.

Flat Battery

It looks like somebody tried to get a final bit of mileage out of the music system.
Religious Icon

I'm surprised this religious picture is still here though. I guess it must have been glued on or something.
Can It Be Saved?

The rest of the interior didn't seem that bad though. So perhaps it can still be saved?
The History

From the front we can see the number plate: TDU212.
This can be googled. Alternatively, just go to the Vintage Cyprus Bus Directory and search there. For some reason, it works better if you just search for DU212, but if you do you will find some pictures of the bus in happier days.
If you follow the link (and it still works) then you will see two shots showing it used as a Wedding Bus. There are two more shots, showing it with the sign "BARNY BUS".
I don't know what BARNY BUS was. There is an associated business, but no other information. A search on Google reveals lots of pictures of a purple dinosaur, which isn't helpful. So if anybody knows anything about it, please let us know!

Vintage Cyprus Buses
A year ago we had to visit the Department of Road Transport, off the Mesogi Road. While there I noticed three old-style Cyprus buses parked in the carpark. I returned a year later, and they were still there, so I thought I would photograph them for posterity. I also found some more modern friends of theirs, who's retirement was a bit less pleasant...
In Search Of The Stroumpi Lion
Big Game Hunting isn't a thing in Cyprus, owing to the lack of any Big Game. However, we recently went out and bagged us a lion. In Stroumpi of all places. The only shooting we did was with our cameras, you will be pleased to know, so have a look at the images we caught.Good Pages To Visit

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
