However, as I walked up here with my film camera, the chap you can see dressed in black in the middle of the shot started to wave at me, in a friendly manner. So I stopped for a chat. I asked him what they were doing behind the fences, and from what he said, it sounds like they might be installing something for pedestrians. It would provide shade, too. Watch the film and hear it for yourself.

Anyway, I was in a hurry, as I was late for an appointment, so I couldn't chat for long. I continued my walk up the sea front, as I was curious to see if they had removed all the signs now. Last weekend they had left the top area alone.

Incidentally, that fencing is now complete. There is no place open for you to walk through, so you cannot, for example, visit the Boy and the Fish at the moment.

I turned to take this shot. It is funny how the same scene can look so different compared to where you are in relation to the sun.

Temporary Road

At the top end of the Sea Front there is now a temporary road. This is a bit ironic considering that it was so recently pedestrianised. What you are in fact looking at is the temporary exit route from Papantoniou's Car Park. They have ripped up the road behing Paps now, and to get to it you have to park in the carpark behind. There will be a film showing the route posted tomorrow (11/3).
