Peyia Market in 2022
Nice Planes!

Now I liked this, and I know my Dad would too. He used to be in the RAF, and as an ex Wing Commander and Engineer he would have been able to talk shop with this chap all day long. For some reason the family fondness for all things aeronautical seems to have passed me by. However, I do appreciate skilled craftmanship, and these were a pleasure to look at.

I am more of a chutney man myself, but am partial to a nice marmalade.

Oh I remember this stall, as a lady kept wandering in front of it as I was trying to take a picture. They were a friendly bunch in this little corner. Must be all the sugar.

It's a good thing they were too, as otherwise I would have nothing to say by now. My creative juices are spent but I felt obliged to photograph every stall. I think in future articles on Markets I may have to be a bit more selective, for my own sanity.
Oh that's one thing that is missing. When I was a kid, I used to love the markets they had in Norfolk, in huge fields. I especially liked the crockery stalls. The people selling them would come up with the most amazing spiels, with supposedly outrageous discounts. But what I really liked was how the plates got thrown about. It was like a display of juggling, almost. It would be lovely, even on a small scale, to find a stall like that.
