Still Waiting
There is a wall here that is still waiting to be renovated. I wonder what caused that rather round hole in the back? It looks like the scene out of a cartoon involving a bank robbery.
Central Bus Station
And here is the main Bus Station, looking very swanky.
Shopping Parade
Opposite the Bus Station you will find a number of shops and a bustling cafe. To me it looks like an area that used to be more popular but has fallen out of fashion for some reason. Having said that, I could hear quite a few games of Tivli being played, so the cafe at least is still busy.
New Build
There is also a new coffee shop next to the Bus Station, but the locals seemed to prefer the other one.
Markideio Theatre
After the Bus Station, we arrive at the Markideio Theatre. This fairly new construction was built on the site and ruins of an older, outdated theatre as part of an urban renewal project designed by Simpraxis Architects. The renovated venue seats 410 people and serves as a primary cultural hub in Paphos
