Paphos Blue Flag Beaches
Anassa Hotel

This is our favourite of all the blue flag beaches. Not because of the posh deckchairs, or the waiter service...

Big Beach

No, we like it because it is huge, and very well maintained. With the caveat that I've never been here on a weekend, I have never seen this beach crowded.
Xistarokambos Beach

The final beach on our journey is in the same bay as Chalavro. In fact , you can just about see the hotel in the far distance. However, to get to this beach you have to continue down the main road towards Aphrodite's Bath, and turn right immediately after the Aphrodite Beach Hotel.
Pebbles Everywhere

I would definitely class this beach as pebbly. However, you can still have a nice swim here, plus there is a nearby restaurant.
Visit The Beaches!

The beaches of Paphos are definitely worth visiting. I think this blog will have shown you that their reputation of being poor is unfair. They may not be as sandy as the beaches you get in Ayia Napa, but they are nevertheless well worth a look. And while you are there, don't just go to the beaches. Polis and Latsi have great places to eat, especially if you go for the traditional Cyprus joints. We love the kebabs you can get here, but there are many places like that in Paphos, where you can eat a hearty, delicious meal for a few euros.
One final point we would like to make about the directory. We have changed how the virtual tours are displayed slightly. Now you have to click on the tour image to load it. This means you can look at the directory while you are out and about without having to worry about it downloading big image files. You should only view the tours if you have wifi access.
We hope you find the directory useful. We will be adding more beaches that take in a greater variety of terrains. There are countless beaches along the north coast of Paphos, for example, and the Akamas holds many secrets. However, always remember when you go swimming in the remoter locations, that your safety is paramount. Learn how to deal with riptides, and play safe.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
