Love Is Like A Butterfly
The butterflies have been keeping us all amused over the last few weeks. The Painted Ladies have been flying from Africa to Continental Europe, and stopping off in Cyprus to say hello...
Painted Lady

Isn't she lovely? There's going to be a lot of pictures of butterflies in this blog. There will be a fascinating fish on page 6, and two dragonflies get it on in the final scene on page 7, but for most of the blog, it's all about the butterflies.
Battered Beauty

This means of course, that I won't have much to say. Let's face it, without getting all Lepidopterological, there isn't much to say that the pictures don't say better themselves.
In this picture though, I would like to point out that the butterfly's wings are a bit battered. This was a common theme, the poor butterflies had got a bit of a beating on their journey so far.
Pollen Fun

And what of that journey? Well, according to the nuggets of information floating around the internet, the butterflies originated in North Africa, and are headed to mainland Continental Europe. However, these butterflies are approaching Paphos from Israel. I can only presume then, that the winds took them over there first, and are now bringing them back again.
It's Not All About The Painted Lady

We also saw some other butterflies, but these were a lot less common.
