Cyprus in Pictures - December 2025
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how November has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Charming Church
We shall begin our look at December in the village of Pano Arodes. This is the lovely church at its centre.
Yada
The Christmas decorations sprung up down at the Sea Front. The winter storms prevent too much of a display. To see lots of bling you really need to head to Old Town and Kennedy Square.
Agios Georgios Harbour Reflections
This shot raised a few eyebrows. Some people were puzzled as it appeared to show flooding at Agios Georgios Harbour Car Park. Remember that the Kalimera shots are portrait, so only the centre of this picture will have been visible. The landscape version gives the game away a bit. The picture was actually taken with my drone, as it sat on the roof of our car. The reflection is just the roof.
December Sun
This year was unseasonably warm, and the sunbeds at Pioneer Beach Hotel were still out at the start of December. Next door though, is Asimina Suites Hotel, which is closed for renovations. They are actually adding a new floor.
Akamas Erosion
This is one of my favourite views in the Akamas. It is at the top end of Snake Canyon, just below the Liesegang Rings we reported on way back in 2016.
