Transferring A Cat From UK to Cyprus
Security Check

When going through Security I spoke to one of the staff members on duty in the queue and they guided me through the process. I had to pass through security as normal while Snufkin was held in his bag by a member of staff. I was then put in a room with Snufkin out of his basket while that went through the scanner, once I had the bag back we were free to walk around departures as normal, Snufkin staying in his backpack.

At the boarding gate he drew lots of admiring and curious glances, and we were directed to a specific line so he could once again be inspected prior to boarding. I had booked 2 seats in economy for the first leg and one in Business class for the 2nd leg, this gave me some extra leg room and also meant I was eligible to sit in the lounge at Munich.
Portaloo

Snufkin was very well behaved and in the lounge I hooked him into his harness and lead and gave him a little water and set up the portable litter. We sat in a quiet corner and I found a reclining chair to rest in until the flight was called. One thing to note is that as I used the same airline for both legs of the journey I was only classed as in-transit in Munich so did not need to collect my bags or pass through customs, therefore, Snufkin was not inspected.
Well Behaved

We boarded our second flight to Paphos, by the time we landed in Paphos Snufkin was beginning to hate being shut in the case but he was still being well behaved. We then went to the terminal, through customs and collected my bags. I wasn’t sure where I would find the vet but approached the customs lanes and he was there. We went into a small room where the documents and Snufkin were checked and a few questions about where he would be living were asked, I paid the fee €59.80 as I arrived in Paphos at 7pm, after travelling for 15 hours.
Settling In

Then it was through customs to meet Dominic and take Snufkin home. As we have 4 rescue cats already he spent a few days staying in our daughters room and was slowly introduced to the others. Now 3 months later they have become more accepting and even play with him or sleep nearby.
