Ayia Napa Aquaduct Continued
Old Shed
The aquaduct ran to this little shed. It is a fairly modern shed, even though it is abandoned, and was defintely not built at the same time as the aquaduct!
Beyond The Shed
After the shed, I could find no more sign of the aquaduct. So was there a spring here, or has the rest of it just been removed? My guess is the latter. I imagine that originally the aquaduct ran to the stream that runs through the Sculpture Park.
Abandoned Building
While I was looking beyond the shed, I did come across an old abandoned building.
Villa?
I'm not sure if it was a villa or some type of old farm. Whatever it was though, it was now disused.
Gated Community
I eventually found myself on the wrong side of this gate. After a brief hunt for any further sign of an aquaduct, I returned to the car. If you visit Ayia Napa, you should definitely visit the Aquaduct. I don't think you need trouble yourself with this section of it though, unless you really love history. However, it was a fun diversion for a while, and I enjoyed hunting for it among the overgrown shrubs.
