Around Agios Georgios

Even with the Building Site, the village still looks quite charming.

    Work In Progress

We will have a few more shots of the site on this page, then move further afield.

I wonder what it will be when it is finished?
View From Akamas

Perhaps they are making more indoor seating? I only ever recall eating on the roofed verandah, with a view overlooking the harbour.
Final Site Shot

Ok that's enough of the renovation work, let's take a look at the surrounding countryside. There was a fair bit of surf around so we were hoping for some nice wave shots.

                Cap St Georges
Cap St Georges is a new commercial venture out near the Akamas. It was recently discussed on the Paphos Life forum, as people were concerned about the level of access to the beach area that non-residents would get. So we took our camera down to have a look. This is not a review of Cap St Georges, we didn't try any of the food or drink. This is more of a quick nose so you can see what the area is like.Good Pages To Visit

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
