This was how it was labelled. I mention this because occasionally I get emails from history buffs asking for more information about various things. I figure by including these pictures it can only help.

Be careful if you visit the boiler room. Some of the roof tiles look liable to fall at any moment.

Another Bat

This bat was beginning to wake up when I spotted it. I presume the thing sticking out at the bottom left is an ear. It unfurled as I watched.

Nice View

I was trying to show the nice view from the window here. But it failed somewhat. To make up for this, here is another tidbit about the hospital's history.

During the depression, the mine (and 5000 jobs) were saved when a Cypriot Banker, one Gabriel Koudounaris, mortgaged his entire property so that the banks wouldn't withdraw their loan to the mining company.

To show its deep appreciation to Gabriel Koudounaris the company dispatched from Denmark the President of his Board of Directors, who came to Cyprus and handed Koudounaris a valuable gold cigarette case, which has now been donated to the Pattichion Historical Archive Museum Research Centre in Limassol.
