Some of the 2nd floor rear rooms were gutted though.
Third Floor
The third floor mainly suffered smoke damage, though again there were signs that the fire had swept along the ceiling.

I shall leave you with a view from the Third Floor window. The Aloe Hotel is loved by many people. I can see that from the comments people leave to the various films and articles I have produced. I have no idea what the future holds for it, but it would be amazing if it could still be saved. Crown Resorts in Coral Bay was renovated to the lovely Cali Spa. If something similar could occur here, it would make a lot of people very happy. We can but hope, and dream.

Aloe Hotel In 2024
The Aloe Hotel closed in 2020. Since then it has remained derelict, home only to pigeons and the occasional rat. At one point reports stated that a tower was going to be built to complement the one next door. Is that still the case? Earlier in the month there was a fire in the old, abandoned Aloe Hotel. Yesterday I went for a walk around the site to see its extent and to ponder on the future of this once-great etablishment.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
