Oleander Beauty

While there is a bit of rubbish about, you can't help but admire the blooming Oleander that surrounds it.

Occasional Stream

I think the vegetation does so well here because a seasonal stream runs by the road. At some point in the past they built a little aquaduct that channeled the water to a small reservoir. That is no longer functional though, and the waters follow the course of the stream instead. This is good news for the vegetation.

The Reservoir

Acording to the plaque, this was built in 1940.

More Oleander

On the other side of the road there is a traditional Cyprus water feature. It is completely dwarfed by the glorious colourful display of the Oleander.
