From here there is a steep spiral staircase leading to the roof, be careful on your way up and down as there isn’t room to pass other visitors, however you can hear them coming so just wait before you start your ascent or descent.

At the top you will see crenellations with arrow slits. Kolossi Castle was part of a network of fortifications that safeguarded Cyprus from invaders. The presence of the Knights Hospitaller and their military expertise helped to protect the inhabitants from various threats during the turbulent medieval period.
