Re: Easyjet - new weights for hold luggage

The new luggage costs vary depending on the flight as per the figures below, which come from the EasyJet website. My son is flying home tomorrow with a 20kg suitcase booked with the flight, plus 23kg booked after the change of policy. 23kg brings it in line with most other airlines. Cabin bag FREE o...

Yes indeed, but, for Israel, this sadly seems to include stealing land from the Palestinians and building settlements on land which, under international law, is not theirs.

I can't see anywhere in the story where is says this guy was wearing an explosive belt. There is mention of another guy wearing one, but not this guy. He is sitting in a wheelchair wearing a black t-shirt.

Re: Jerusalem

This is part of the reason why Israel doesn't get the sympathy it thinks it deserves! From today's Daily Mail. "Israeli troops shot dead a wheelchair-bound man with no legs in Gaza today as three other Palestinians were killed during protests, medical officials said. Another 150 were hurt as pr...

Sorry, but I think the title of this thread is extremely disrespectful.

Billy was a wonderful man and so much more than a bucket list biker.

Re: Jerusalem

For me, what is worse is that the "loonies" to use your phrase, in Israel and the USA have some really scary weapons and seem more than happy to use them. That seems a much greater risk for the rest of us. I think that we will have to agree to differ on this one and let time sort things ou...

Reported on BBC news this morning was Netanyahu meeting with the EU and saying that he expected them to follow Trump's suit and recognise Jerusalem as their capital and the Eu replied by saying there was no chance of them doing that and the EU would continue to recognise the "international cons...

Wow, I thought that was a perfectly reasonable question as other forums don't allow just a link to be posted.

Out of interest, when was this explained to me before? I don't recall asking the question before!

Re: Police issue Xmas warning to drivers

When posting stories like this, can you please actually post the story rather than just a link.

Forum etiquette is not to just post a link.

Many thanks.

Internet Connection Speeds

I have seen so many threads about poor connection speeds here in Cyprus, particularly in relation to uploads. Earlier this evening I was talking to my son on Skype as he is at University in Wales. We were talking about connection speeds and he ran a speed test to check how good his connection was. H...

Exodus, you have missed a few questions, the biggest one perhaps being which country keeps building settlements on land that does not belong to them and that is contrary to international law? You cannot compare Israel with other countries, as other countries don't operates land grabs the same way th...

I have had a couple of the RFID cards for a while now. One in my wallet and one in my passport. The cards seem to be a better option than the wallets.

Re: Jerusalem

Sadly, I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that Trump is a lunatic. Recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was always going to create huge problems and, seemingly, will only be welcomed by people from Israel. The violence had already begun. Reuters reported earlier that Palestinians in Gaz...

As to renewal, if you have the right papers with you, they will do it immediately.
What are the "right papers" Band?
I am self employed, so all I needed to bring was the most recent copy of my tax return. They can check the yellow slip and social insurance on their system.

Re: Just Been Hit By A Drunk Driver

He had been inside for about 15 minutes before the police got there, so they could have had a usable breath sample, but, unfortunately, he "fell asleep" (at 7:15) which is why he didn't answer the door to them.
