Chloraka beer festival.

Post by josef k »

I went along to this at the weekend (well, it was free) , and what a great evening. There must have been a couple of thousand there and the beer was not the main attraction. That label fell to the music, particularly the Nicosia rock band Minus One who were excellent. Some of their own material, some covers and lots of promise for the future. A million times better than the "tributes" we usually have to put up with. Even better than the very few good bands on the local circuit (sorry guys).
It was interesting to compare against the Paphos Beer Festival which cost 7 euros to get in and was pretty rubbish.

Surely I am not the only one on here that went?

So Josef, what was the beer like? I used to like the potent ones, like Owd Rodger, Old Peculiar and Dark Ruby Mild.

I like your style Dominic.

Actually I didn't bother with the beer much, as the music was the thing for me. As far as I could see, there were the usual local suspects and some Greek ones. Nothing to get excited about. As I said, it was the music that mattered.
