Not so much the oddest, but the most memorable was the large bright blue plastic bags we saw washed up one summer on a Greek island beach - only on closer inspection they weren't bags, they were jellyfish.

I used to, in my teenage years, go riding along the beaches near Silloth in Cumbria. The horses would not go near a certain part of a beach, which was apparently a WW2 arms testing area.... where shells etc. would occasionally wash up. Never saw any, but did see a friend sent arse over tit as his horse stopped dead!

Same crap left on Timi beach near Bonamar cafe, left over from the recent raft race, usually it is moved..
And MM you just love it don't you, either fit for me the oldest and oddest, so be it!!
