Asprokemas reservoir
Re: Asprokemas reservoir
Great news, with 3 million cubic metre inflow over the weekend, the reservoir has now surpassed the level for the whole of 2018. 10% of the capacity has been in the last 5 days alone.
Whilst 2018 level was low, this at the very least means no water cuts this year, any further inflow is icing on the cake.
A similar pattern covers other reservoirs island wide.

Re: Asprokemas reservoir
Our 3 dams are 30% full as opposed to 19% at the same time last year …………… Asprokremmos is a big dam, whether it overflows is anybody's guess!

Jim, I know Kannaviou reservoir up in the hills here feeds Everetou and Asprokemas reservoirs
I think you'll find thar once Kannaviou is overflows we have reached our capacity in the Paphos area, for water storage.
Re: Asprokemas reservoir
I don't think it feeds Evretou does it? I think it feeds Argaka. There is certainly a pipe between the two.

Re: Asprokemas reservoir
Argaka dam is connected both ways with Evretou dam. As Argaka is overflowing always early, excess water in winter is transfered to Evretou. The other way round in summer when Argaka dam is very low...
Kannaviou dam is transfering water to Peyia (thats why it is so empty) and will in the near future also be connected with Asprokremmos dam near Kouklia (not Asprokemas
