If you look back through this thread, then you will see that I have never stated an EHIC is dependent upon being of pensionable age! Get a grip man, Kilio1 said in post 10 that "one is below pensionable age"!

It's probably clear from the above link that the EHIC is issued in the UK to:
1. All UK residents
2. Those in receipt of a UK state pension who are living in another EU country.
If you are below pensionable age and living in Cyprus, you are only entitled to apply for the Cyprus EHIC card which you can only get if you hold a Cyprus medical card. In Cyprus, they are issued until the date of expiry of your medical card.
