Garden of Memories Appeal Update

Paphos Life has been happy to support this very worthy cause over the last few months. Today they posted a nice update on Facebook. As I am aware that not all of the users of this forum use Facebook, I am reproducing it here:

What a fantastic weekend for our Garden of Memories project.
Elaine has started her sponsored marathon swim which involves 250 lengths of her 8 mtr swimming pool per day for 10 consecutive days.
On Saturday evening our music function at The Fountain in Tsada raised 632 euros profit.
Also on Saturday evening we received an incredible 1000 euro donation from a very kind lady in the UK who has a relative in the Hospice at the moment.

On Sunday morning the builders moved in and constructed the initial retaining walls for the raised beds in the Garden.

As I said, a fantastic weekend !! Thanks to everyone involved who put in so much time and effort to bring these events about.

It is really heart-warming to see this lovely project underway, Geoff! Not wishing to be nosy, but how is the Garden of Memories Appeal fund looking at present? Do you think the target will be reached?

Bing translator for 'remembrance' gives me ανάμνηση in Greek.

While 'memories' brings up μνήμες

Maybe someone spelt 'remembrance' wrongly in their translator, hence zilch results?
