Delicious Lunch again : Barracuda Fish

Post by cyprusmax47 »

Was very lucky today in my favorite fish restaurant near the Timi Beach that they offered fresh Barracuda, just caught. Together with a nice village salad, tahini and toasted bread to start with I enjoyed this nice fish very much. Not to forget the chips from potatoes grown just behind the place.
As I told the chef not to overcook the fish it was done to perfection as it should be when the fish is so fresh....

Of course plenty of sea salt on top!!

I prefer to sit more close to the sea, but it is early in the year and the sea weed has to be removed first, before they lay the tables over there...

Was told the best place to eat was the local brothel and had the best fish I have ever had in my life . Discovered later it was barracuda , it was so dense it was like eating meat. I would add that it was not uncommon out in Nigeria that the best eating places were the local brothels.

We are very lucky here in the UK that our local fish and chip shop is owned by a delightful Cypriot man from Limassol. When we first ordered from him we said we wanted the fish lightly cooked. He replied excellent, that is how we cook fish in Cyprus and how it should be eaten. I always enjoy fresh fish when I'm in Cyprus because it's invariably disappointing at home.

How it looks at the beach site, close to the sea, and the air... oxygen-containing and full of iodine. Hope they lay the tables soon.... :?:
