Agios Georgios could rightly claim to be one of the Gateways to the Akamas. You will find it on the western end of the Coast Road from Paphos City. It has a lovely little harbour and an ancient archaeological site, as well as a photogenic church perched on top of a rocky cliff. They are in the process of redeveloping the restaurant next to the church, so we went down to see how they were getting on...

Nice pictures, I like this area, its lovely down there.
Interesting to see what happens with the restaurant development, I can't see all that redeveloped area being just restaurant though there's not the business down there even in summer, we will wait and see how it pans out.

On ground level you really didn’t appreciate the actual size of the plot restaurant and separate accommodation, the stone work from what I could see is very similar to Cap St George Resort on the renovation to the White River side of the building
Hope it’s sympathetic build to its surroundings

Yes the last time I was down there they were still there for rent, just to the left as you approach the church.LouiseCastricum wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 2:31 pm There used to be some very basic rooms for rent as well.
