Paphos Seafront Storms - The Article
It looks like wintery weather has finally arrived in Paphos. Overnight we were hit by a big storm, so this morning I set off with my camera to survey the scene. Come with me on an early morning stroll along the Sea Front and Harbour.

Some amazing photos Dominic
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Was down a bit later by Banio, the waves must have been 20 ft high, sadly I observed some idiots standing on the wall by Banio to take pics, in each case they were lucky they weren’t swept out to sea.
An amazing sight to see however, still in my shorts an t shirt ( for now)

It wasn't my first rodeo.
With regards to the music, it was quite sultry. One of the suggested uses was for a striptease, believe it or not.

Nice photos, Dominic.Thanks. I and a number of others echo your thoughts about the sea wall. As you say! Where thesea wall still exists, it does help to avoid the mess of sea weed, sand, stones etc
which makes such a mess of the sea front in the rest of the harbour. A Cypriot who I know thinks the Greens objected to having a sea wall, all be it, a very low one all along the harbour front, which would save a lot of the time spent clearing up the mess after each winter storm.
But why should people object when normally all harbours have sturdy sea walls..? Maybe the next Mayor will have a different attitude!
Hope so.

What has the lack of a sea wall got to do with the current mayor? I thought it was the previous mayor who got rid of them?

Yes, it was the previous Mayor. I was hoping that as our present one has done so much to change the whole sea front area, he might have had a low wall rebuilt while the major upgrade was in progress. But it seems that wasn't in his list of priorities.

You are a real piece of work. You have no idea what the Mayor's plans are. You moan whenever he does anything. You complain when you think he does too much. You complain when you think he does too little. All you ever do is complain.
Change the bloody record. It is worn out and warped.

Fabulous pictures and drone footage.
I can’t quite remember when the previous wall was dispensed with, maybe, not the best decision made by the previous Mayor due to the aftermath of Storms debris and the cost of clearing up

Sorry you take it personally and attack me. Not everyone agrees with your views about everything, Plenty of people including some Cypriots who I know have voiced a similar opinion.
Although most of the few people who post on here regularly seem to agree with you.. From what you have written recently, I thought you were also in favour of a sea wall like the one which used to front the harbour?
Sorry for upsetting you..

It's too late to get all defensive. You keep attacking the Mayor, so don't be surprised if people criticise you in response when your attack is very clearly unfounded.
As to the people who post on here, that is entirely up to them. I only keep this forum running because people still want to use it. The vast majority of our site traffic comes from Facebook, but not everybody uses Facebook, so I don't have a problem accommodating them here. But that does not mean I will stand by and let you blame people for something they had no part in.
I'm not upset in the slightest though.
