Update on The Park Of Colours

Last year work started on a new park in Paphos. The Park of Colours is nearly complete, and will be opening within weeks. There was an announcement in the press about this yesterday. Coincidently enough, I was in the area so saw for myself what progress had been made.

Looks like it’s at least a month from completion, but still a major asset in a much improved Paphos

The new park looks as if it will be very pleasant, I'm so glad that they have left a few of the old Carob trees. There will be a lot of new plants and shrubs there, so the park will need to be supervised, to avoid either damage or theft of the plants. There are unfortunately a few vandals in Paphos, remembering damage done to some of the young saplings planted in the streets of the town.
I have observed from the area near Papantoniou Supermarket some of the construction involved. The sports facilities to be provided at the park for young people will be great for those with abundant energy to let off steam...
