Re: Water Levels worrying low.

Yes, you are right. Just checked the Govt's Reservoir Storage website, Current water levels there is 46.9% full. So less than half. We should all try to reduce our use of water. Here in Chloraka the water pressure to the taps has been reduced. Wonder if you have you seen any sign of the desalination...

Re: M & S Paphos Bedding?

Yes, a selection of their bedding is there and I have bought replacement items there for the linen cupboard. But last time I wanted a new sheet, the size required wasn’t in stock. So, while in Era Dept Store on an impulse I went to their first floor. There was a well stocked linen and bedding dept t...

Re: Sklavenitis expands to 27 stores with Papantoniou deal

Yes, I heard rumours a few months ago that this might happen. I hope it will be successful, but at the same time it will mark the end of an era! Paps has been my ‘go to’, Supermarket since we first arrived here over 20 yrs ago! I value both their good variety of products and their General helpfulnes...

Re: Concerns mount over Paphos road project setbacks

All of this estimated number of road users of the new road will only help if the additional 20M euros which is being demanded by the construction company to finish the existing contract to build the new road, is forthcoming. Furthermore, is it a false economy to spend so much money on a single lane ...

Re: Paphos Smart Parking

I'm not sure of a definite answer. I use the app, but I have a phone account with CYTA and the parking charge appears on my tel bill. If you're a visitor here it maybe best to go to the Cyprus Tourist office in Paphos, which is in. the main street in the Old town. Ask there.

Franks Blinds

I have had difficulty contacting Frank, as his mobile rings as if permanently engaged! Is this business still operating, If it is, maybe he has a new number? Has anyone ordered any blinds from him recently?
Would be grateful for any up to date info, please?

Thanks.

Re: Concerns mount over Paphos road project setbacks

However, from recent reports the whole project is now mired in financial difficulties with the construction company demanding something like 20M to complete it, in recent press reports. If this is true, why was the original quote reflecting the true cost of what is obviously a very expensive project...

I wonder what young children's view of Easter is having seen these decorations consisting mainly of Hens - laying Chocolate eggs? Sadly really nothing showing the Christian meaning of Easter.

Re: Paphos Airport today

I arrived in PFO last week, on Monday night. Airport wasn't busy, its a good idea to avoid arriving on 'hotel'change'over days' if you can. I was met by my taxi driver (pre booked). They are not allowed to park outside either now. They park in the taxi car park. But he quickly drove to the front doo...

Re: Thalassa Hotel Renovations

Yes, I remember this hotel being built about 12 years before Covid! It was billed as Leptos new Luxury Boutique Hotel. I was resident at Kamares then, and a member of the Residents Association Committee. We were invited by Leptos to view the new Hotel before it opened. It was very luxe. I remember t...

Re: Travel Medication

A friend of mine needed the Malaria jab ( along with several others) before a trip to the Far East.
He had all his jabs at the General Hospital, but one-of them had to be ordered which took a week.
So best you ask at the General to make sure.

Re: Obsolete swimming pool laws poised to change

Who knows? This swimming pool legislation is still a mess as regards larger complexes. Also ridiculous if hotels can manage to keep their pools open with-or without a lifeguard.

Re: Obsolete swimming pool laws poised to change

I hope that Russel Fricks petition bears fruit! Even the possible revision of pool laws I read, isn't any answer for complexes where people either own or rent properties.and share the complex's pool. Ours complies with all the regs, having, showers, toilets and changing rooms. It is professionally m...

Chris &Pam,
Yes you are correct, its the same building. You will be ushered to a room off the Reception/ waiting room. The actual procedure is quite quick. You have your photo taken and your fingerprints.
