Cyprus in Pictures - April 2024
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel...

Kings Avenue Mall At Easter
It is Easter in Paphos, so we went for a walk around the main Mall, to see how it was decorated. Come and take a look.

Paphos Easter Decorations
In Cyprus Easter is a bigger deal than Christmas, and they have the decorations to prove it. We went out and about around the Paphos District to check out what this year's adornments were like.

Re: Concerns mount over Paphos road project setbacks
This article, even if you read it 3 times, tells you nothing why there is a delay, only talks about meetings and meetings... Some weeks ago I was reading in the press, that the contractor wants nearly 3 years more time and extra 22 million Euros extra money for farious reasons. I already questioned...

Re: Concerns mount over Paphos road project setbacks
I think your assumption is flawed. You are underestimating the amount of people who will use it as a quicker route to Limassol.

Kato Paphos Roadworks Update
They have been busy on Poseidonos Avenue and the road behind Papantoniou's at the Sea Front. You can now drive in both directions on it again. This makes navigating Kato Paphos a lot easier. In this short film we start at the Harbour and drive down the newly open road before heading up through Bar S...

Pano Arodes to Droushia - With Commentary!
The villages of the Akamas are well worth exploring. Filled with both charm and informative museums you are sure to find something to make your trip worthwhile. The scenery alone is worth it, as you shall see in this film that takes us the Pano and Kato Arodes before driving through Ineia and Droush...

Avli Tis Nefelis - An Amazing Coffee Shop in Old Paphos
Cypriots love their coffee, and they have the Coffee Shops to prove it. In a village, they have the same prominance as the local pubs that used to form such a part of UK rural life. So for a coffee shop to grab our attention sufficiently to warrant an article, it must be pretty special. Step forward...

St Nicholas Chapel Area - With Commentary
I was experimenting with our 360 camera the other day. We aren't allowed to fly the drone near St Nicholas Chapel on the Coastal Boardwalk, because of its proximity to Paphos Airport. So I wanted to see what would happen if I stuck the camera on top of a long selfie stick. This is the resulting film...

Re: Concerns mount over Paphos road project setbacks
The only work I have seen done recently is right at the top, where the motorway will rejoin the B7. Other than that there doesn't appear to be any progress at the moment.

Re: Fewer than 20 voters for elections in seven villages
Frankly I am amazed that these villages have elections at all. From the text: The smallest number of voters has been registered in the Paphos village of Kourtaka where only three individuals are set to vote, followed by Prasteio with seven, and Souskiou with eight, in the same district. Kourtaka is ...

Kathikas, Akoursos and Coral Bay
In this film we take an alternate route from Kathikas to Coral Bay. Instead of taking the usual route through the forest and Peyia, we drive through Wine Country and down the winding road to the village of Akoursos. Along the way we hear about the local legend featuring the Kings of Akoursos and Ini...

Baracas Bar From Above
Baracas Bar can be found on the Chloraka Coast Path, near St George's and Sandy Beach. It is the perfect place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat while you taken in the coastal scenery. There is also a children's play area and an outdoor gym.

Driving down to Polis this morning the dust is awful. I wouldn't do any outdoor work today.
