Little Man Does Malta

Post by PhotoLady »

Sadly, we forgot to take our dog's favourite toy with her to the kennels before we left for our holiday the other day, so rather than leave him home alone - we took him along for the ride in my suitcase.

Here he is all ready for his first bus trip to the fishing harbour at Marsaxxlok via Valletta:
Image

A quick capture with my mobile phone so a bit wobbly but I have many more to follow, including today's visit to Mdina Glass shop where he posed with the sales assistant who completed our purchase of a Christmas tree. I kid you not!

It's been a little breezy here but nice and sunny. We've had a lovely time catching up with our 2 best friends who came over to join us from Cyprus on the Emirates flight. Altogether having a good catch up and will be very sorry to see them depart tomorrow for Larnaca airport..... We still have a few more days to chill out with Mum before we head back to UK.

About the same as Rugby/Crufts...why no sarky comment about those posts?

Hope you are all having a great reunion in Malta Jules, I bet your pooch is missing their favourite toy. 😊

It's got more to do with Paphos than that thread you recently started about some tear jerking film you had just watched.

Are you doing a blog about this? I'd like to see the pics. I am off for a 4 day trip in May - staying in Sliema. I did do an outline itinerary but have had to scrub the Azure Window off it now!

If the original post had been in 'Beyond Cyprus', it would just about have been acceptable, but to post it in 'General Discussion' just shows the level some people will go to get a mention. It's a joke!

It will go there in a couple of days. Every so often I have a tidy up of General Discussions and move stuff to it's proper place. However, until then, provided the General Discussion forum isn't getting swamped, it doesn't do any harm there. More people look at stuff in the General Discussions forum, because guests don't get the option to view the unread posts list, which us members have.

I have to ask though, SurreyBoy, why didn't you pull up merchant_banker when he posted about a film?

If the answer is because you don't like Photolady's posts, you can always put her on block. Then you won't see any of them, nor will you see any threads she creates.

The only threads I do move straight away are political ones, as the political forum is active enough, and new threads don't need the exposure.

Well Malta is an accessible destination for Cyprus dwellers like me (direct flights from Larnaca at really reasonable prices) so info on what to see would be useful.

Well, regardless of what some may think of this thread, we do 3 trips a year back and forth to U.K. and every time at least one of the soft and cuddlies has to come, depending on the room in cases and bags. We did start doing sort of passports, but as G has so many it got too much, so I leave it to her to decide who accompanies us each trip.
Surprising how many people comment on them each trip! And in the hotel!

Hope Little Man enjoys his trip and dog wasn't too lonely without him!

To those enjoying the Little Man post.... I thank you 😊

I will put up more photos when we return late next week....

For those others who have taken several digs at my posts recently, I have these descriptive words: Cronies, Henchmen and Brainwashed.

I don't believe I need to say any more on that subject

Well I for one enjoy your posts Jules and look forward to seeing your photos next week.

Your posts are far better entertainment than the inane political ramblings of the forelock tuggers and the ragged trousered philanthropists that attempt to dominate this forum.

I am sure a lot of people would like to hear about Malta. Though we have moved to Cyprus now, we will still want to have our holiday break, so knowledge of the countries relatively local to Cyprus will be useful.

For that reason, though this thread technically belongs in the "Beyond Cyprus" forum, I will leave it here for the time being.

All I ask is that in future the little fellow gets photographed near something spectacular, rather than a bus seat.

That one was on my mobile - the rest are on my camera. Difficult to navigate the forum on my phone and post photos. This was his first trip out. Yesterday, he was at the Ford car convention near the National Aquarium.....

Don't worry about it. It is very easy for me to move topics and I would rather they appear in the "wrong" forum than not at all.

Off to Sliema today and probably will take the water taxi across to Valletta. Our friends went back to Cyprus yesterday and now one of them has many weeks of chemo treatment ahead of them. Our meet up in Malta wasn't planned much in advance, it was just some lucky timing in their diagnosis and starting this, their third round of treatment...

I have lots of Malta photos so these are more light hearted and ones we will be able to look back on with fond memories.

Next sunny jaunt will more than likely be Benidorm 😊
