Houses ruined, abandoned, others without roofs, other without windows and
furnishings and other dwellings with grassy courtyards. Houses ... which they left
rushed dozens of villagers during the Turkish invasion, his black July

Stingzio ... the ghost village! It is 35 kilometers northeast of the Paphos District and 3 kilometers from the equally abandoned village of Eretre. Here, where the untold tragedy of the island left us indelible signs. Here where the memory of the vision for a better future and an optimistic tomorrow has dried up. Here, where the houses were emptied within a few hours, hiding the unbearable pain, bitterness and despair of each family.

God knows what they are referring to by "Eretre" though. There are four other abandoned villages in that area though.

Of those, Zacharia, which we blogged about a few weeks ago, is the closest, so perhaps that's the one they mean?
Hmmm, this is what PRIO says about Zacharia:
Zacharia, or Zaharga, is a village in the Paphos district, located twelve kilometers southeast of Polis, immediately northeast of Istinjo, overlooking Stavros tis Psokas valley. Zacharia derives from the Greek word for sugar (zachari). In 1958, Turkish Cypriots adopted the alternative name Tatlıca, meaning “sweetly.”
So definitely not Eretre. A mystery then...

It is just bad translation from Google.
She means Evretou! Also the other word "Hitidzios" means Instinjo....
