Thinking I should go down the healthy route, I bought an air fryer, first time I tried it I made chips, what a disappointment, lacking flavour, and soggy.
I dried the chips well first tossed them in 1/2 tbsp. of oil, as per instructions, cooked on full power for about 20 mins, shaking up the chips several times.
What have I got wrong ? Any advice please.
Thanks
Jackie

Re: Air Fryers And Crispy Chips
We double fry ours in a deep fryer - perfectly crispy every time.

I do them with 1 tea spoon of oil, 5ml, for about 30 mins until golden brown, I do not shake them just serve them up, they are always nice and crisp, my wife likes them but I prefer the full fat deep fried flavour.

Many thanks for the tips everyone, I will reduce the oil, I just followed the instructions in the book. Does anyone else add salt ?
Jules, I had to chuckle at your reply.

We did frozen spring rolls in our air frier tonight and it cooked them a treat.
