The truly stupid speed limit on this dual carriageway of 50KPH has at last been changed to 65KPH great at least push bikes will not overtake me now. :D

Also notice on this road that cyclist never use the cycle lane provided ,why????

I have been down that road, but only a couple of times. i was told that the separate cycle lane has not got dropped kerbs. if that is so it may be a reason it is not used

Thank goodness for that. Hope they have made the single carriageway stretch, up to the roundabout, 65kph also, as this is the stretch were taxis drive cm from your rear if you are doing 50 and then overtake on the left hand side of you as you go round the roundabout.
Trev, there are drops for cyclists but they are round each corner, so you have to slow down to negotiate them. Not very good if, like the lycra boys and girls, you are timing your ride.
