Yellow weather warning: storms, hail on the way (Updated)

The Met Office on Wednesday issued a yellow warning as storms accompanied by hail are expected during the day, as a road in the north partially collapsed from the heavy rain.Rainfall is expected to exceed 35mm per hour the Met Office said, issuing a warning that will remain in place until 10pm....

Well, I can vouch for the weather warning! Just taken my wife up to Trimithousa to work and went up and down the Polis Road which essentially is a river! If it carries on like this for much longer then there could be quite a bit of flooding in the lower parts of town tonight?

There is some rain forecast every day for the next 5 days

One of the reasons we came to live in Cyprus was we were told that the sun shone occasionally. Been here a bit over a month and I think its wetter than the UK.

On a serious note all this rain has to be good news. Hopefully fill up the dams and also give us a beautiful green Spring.

My new swimming pool has now drained away, what wet weather this is, it is though much needed as Robert says, we all know what is coming in the near future so enjoy this wet stuff while you can.

Was watching the UK weather forecast last night and they actually mentioned Cyprus, referring to the SEVERE storms circulating over Greece, Turkey and Eastern Mediteranean.

I don't mind the storms, except for the Thunder that frightens our dog... I feel sorry for anyone anywhere that has water coming int their home though.
