One bad weather front after the other moves in...and it looks like this is the rain we needed desperately to fill up our dams..... and there is more to come in the next hours and days. Pool is nearly overflowing again and I drained the other day...
I went along to Mavrokolympos Dam about 5 weeks ago & the dam level was around 10/11% full. Went the other day & it had reached 60+%, just shows what a couple weeks of rain in the right areas can do! I see also that the other dams are in better shape than at the same time last year, apart from Kannaviou which has been used heavily to provide drinking water for Paphos!

The amount of water in the dams is quite important to those living in Cyprus. It could mean the difference between water shortages and not.
It is even more important for Paphos area as it is the only district in Cyprus without desalination plant yet....
