Just read this on another forum and good to see some shops do care about their customers:
Praise for Chloraka Papantoniou
Earlier today I did some shopping and got some bargains 1+1 and was in a hurry so didn't check till receipt. At home I checked it and realised I had been charged for every item so I returned to the customer services desk and showed them the receipt. Member of staff checked and stated the items were not on offer, so I told her that I had checked the offer slip and the items and the codes on both were the same. I then went to the shelf and took the offer slips back to customer services. We established that it was a weekend offer (ended 16 December) and I apologised as I thought it read 18th December (should have gone to Specsavers) and said I would like a full refund as I would not have bought the items if they were full price. However, they honoured the offer, gave me the refund and apologised for the fact that the offer slips had not been removed. Thank you Papantoniou!

Bravo Paps! I generally find businesses here in Cyprus extremely courteous and generous, 2 examples from today:
- Costa's replaced my car battery free of charge - it was still just in warranty but drained probably due my own fault of not using the car recently (which I happily admitted)
- Kasino Rolex changed the battery of my garage remote key free of charge (and with a smile)
Both these establishments (and many others) never cease to astonish me, as I cannot recollect any other place so customer-friendly (and I have lived in about a dozen countries all over the world).

I have never had a problem with any of the Papantonio stores. At the one we use regularly I have even haggled for a discount on non food items..
