Inverter AC unit recommendation

Post by kansas »

We're looking to replace our living/dining room AC unit with an up to date inverter unit so we can use it for affordable Winter heat as well as Summer cooling.

We've popped into a couple of shops who (surprise, surprise) thoroughly recommend the ones they happen to sell, especially the more expensive models.

The usual names are LG, Mutsubishi and Samsung but I notice that lots of commercial establishments go for Haier and Gree.

We're looking for a unit around 24,000 btu.

Any recommendations based on personal experience gratefully received.

Daikin produces partly in Europe and their prices are higher than other brands, but then you get what you pay for... perhaps a smaller unit p.e. 18000 BTU is enough normally... 24000 BTU is quite huge ...

We have replaced units in both our properties last year.

We used CMC both times, once with a Daewoo and then a pair of Pitsos

Our tenants, who are very house proud, commented that they had done a very tidy and professional job.

As Max said, Daikin are one of the best on the market and are usually specified by many of the major oil companies. We have LG which which are very good, we did have Haier but the plastic grills perished and disintegrated.
