I am posting this here in the General Section as I do not believe it should be in the Politics one although Dominic may differ and, if so, please move it there.
The Cyprus Ministry of Information has issued a very clear and concise residency rights document for UK Nationals and their family members living in Cyprus. The document can be found on their web site at:
http://www.moi.gov.cy/moi/crmd.nsf
The document is 12 pages long but has much valuable information regarding Residency rights and has various tables which will be of interest to those who are not sure what their position is or is likely to be. At the end of the Transition period it states a Valid Residence document will be issued to those registered which includes a statement that it has been issued in accordance with the Withdrawal Agreement.
I commend this document to people for a read which is very easy to follow and the best I have seen thus far.

Re: Cyprus Residency
Sorry Mr Blobby I did not mean to rain on your parade and I do remember what you had posted but I feel it is necessary for people to read the whole of the document to appreciate what their position is and which documents they need prior to the UK's exit and the transition period. For instance in your extract it does not clarify the need to have a MEU1 or 3 (particularly the latter) and be registered in order to obtain the "Valid Residence Document' which will have the statement included that document has been issued in accordance with the Withdrawal Agreement and which those of us who wish to remain in Cyprus will need. As I say I appreciate what you posted and I was only trying to be helpful particularly as some posting in the politics section are still asking questions relating to residency rights.Mrblobby wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 11:31 pm Sorry Rita , this has been posted before , by me and by others . Re: Cyprus Residency
Yes you did but given the questions still being asked, which I feel are answered by reading the whole document, it seems not many people have utilised it.. However if Dominic will be so kind he can delete my post here and that in the Politics Section. OK

Re: Cyprus Residency
No need to delete anything Rita , the more people are aware of what is going on the better .
But just like you a lot of people do not read full threads .

Re: Cyprus Residency
What this thread clearly demonstrates is that not everybody reads every thread.
This is entirely understandable. I am the admin of the site, and I don't read every thread.
Rita, if you were unaware that this had already been posted, then it is highly likely that other people were also unaware. You are in good company. I posted the information a while ago myself, unaware that Mr Blobby had already posted it.
It doesn't matter. What matters, is that people get the message. As you say, it IS an important subject, and I am happy for it to get repeated.

The link in Ritas post reports ERROR. So try this http://www.moi.gov.cy/moi/crmd/crmd.nsf ... %20V.1.pdf
Re: Cyprus Residency
Good God, that error message includes a reference to Lotus Notes. I last used that in 1998.
