Red Morning today, a hint for weather change also in Cyprus?

Post by cyprusmax47 »

When I came back this dawn, walking the dog, I wondered what everybody's opinion is about the myth that the weather will change when there is a red sky in the morning, applies this also for Cyprus?

This is just seconds before the sun came up

and here we are...

and again seconds later

What a dramatic sky! Great photos, Max.
Red sky at night shepherds delight, red sky in the morning shepherds warning!
So says the olde English saying. Yes, there’s some truth in this as thunderstorms are possible by Thursday according to my weatherunderground 10day forecast.....

There was no moderate dust level in the air at 10 AM as the pollution reading was low and 32 mcg for PM 10 in Paphos, while moderate level starts >50mcg/m3... and even now in the afternoon the pollution of PM's is low in the whole of Cyprus...

And I thought that time in the morning (6.15 AM) is much too early for you, as you have mentioned it in a different thread about sunrise...

It is not my fault that you don't understand the chart. Level 2 is for Ozone, not for PM's (dust)....

Parameters Explanation ×
NO Nitrogen Oxide [μg/m³]
NO2 Nitrogen Dioxide [μg/m³]
NOx Nitrogen Oxides [μg/m³]
SO2 Sulfur Dioxide [μg/m³]
O3 Ozone [μg/m³]
CO Carbon Monoxide [μg/m³]
PM10 Particulate Matter 10 μm [μg/m³]
PM2.5 Particulate Matter 2.5 μm [μg/m³]
C6H6 Benzene [μg/m³]

For God's sake Hudswell, you was talking about dust, which is PM and not Ozone. The PM (dust) levels were always low today...

Hudswell, that pollution level was referring to pollution levels, not dust levels. Dust is a form of pollution, so is ozone.

This isn't complicated.

But HiC, no more Brexit talk here please. That belongs either in politics or in your head. :D

Checking Weather Underground just now, the thunderstorms due later this week seem to have miraculously disappeared!
