Many years ago I had the immense privilege of staying on the Australian Heron Island and was escorted around the Island by a marine biologist.We saw the enormous turtles dragging themselves so slowly out of the sea to dig their "nests" to lay their eggs and a little further on had to stop to let the tiny baby turtles who had just hatched scramble along the beach to the sea.
An experience that I will always remember as being one of the highlights of my life.
