Cat shot!

Post by memory man »

My friend's cat was shot with pellets last week in the face.
Unfortunately, he has been blinded in 1 eye, and still recovering
from his ordeal. How well he will recover, only time will tell at the moment.

He is being treated by Onlyvets in Peyia.

The approx. area was in the vicinity of Racherou Street.

Be very vigilant.

One of my cats was shot twice in the neck several years ago
and eventually mad a good recovery.
With much thanks to the vet at the time...………… Yiannis Stylianou.

We reported the incident to the police who attended our house
pretty quick, and took details from us and went neighbour door knocking
for about 1 hour to get statements and info.
What concerned the police most of all,
it could quite easily have
been a child
. He was very angry, but we never found out who did it.

Oh Brian, I hope your friends cat makes a good recovery. Those felines are very resilient wee creatures. X Cruel people ALWAYS finally end up meeting their Karma.

How horrible, sadly too common out there, poor thing, hope it recovers well. It pays to keep your cats in on 'hunting' days, one trigger happy idiot can cause so much suffering and distress.

Mouse,

I took it to mean that it could have been a child that was shot, that said when we lived in Drousiea, a Cypriot neighbour gave his son a gun, probably the child would have been around ten, and I saw him shooting birds from his garden, adjacent to the road we lived on.

Cruel and stupid, but there we are.
