Do you know Cyprus? Villages (#6)

Post by cyprusmax47 »

This village lays in a long river valley still in the Paphos district. Who knows the name? Not far away are famous climbing rocks...

Dominic was right with his answer (like always  ) The village is Mamonia in the Dhiarizos valley which ends near Mandria (Paphos) and is leading to Ayios Nikolaos, Arminou Dam and further to central Troodos. It is my favourite valley since it is not a dead end road anymore after Ayios Nikolaos was connected with the Kato Platres area in the 90's.

Part of the Paphos Life Road Trip #2 goes through Mamonia and the rest of the valley. Well, the non-offroady bits anyway. So it doesn't cover the likes of Maronas etc.

Were you photographing the bird when you took the shot, or was it just a coincidence?

I am not aware that there is a PL road trip #2! yet.... ;)

and yes it is coincidence the bird at this pic. When you wait to photograph birds they don't appear not even after hours.. :)
it is a common crow I believe though...

It looks like the Twitter logo so I thought you must have a new sponsor?

I'm half way through the new road trip book / blog. I got distracted the first time I attempted it because I identified a fun off-road route which I obviously just had to explore then and there. I had a good time but it doesn't fit in in Road Trip that is supposed to be suitable for any vehicle. :)
