Yes, the CTO was hidebound and seemed incapable of adapting to changing times.
Let’s hope that whatever replaces it will have younger blood which will bring something new.
Especially where developing winter tourism is concerned. There should be more than just golf to attract the tourists here in winter. Maybe special interest holidays, subjects like Ornithology, Geology, Archaeology tours with well qualified guides and of course special walking holidays. As well as promoting indoor activities... Thats the sort of thing that happens here. May be there are strong and militant unions involved? Who see it as their job to protect their members thus ensuring that no one will lose their job, regardless of previous performance...
