Alloy wheel polishers/restorers
Re: Alloy wheel polishers/restorers
According to Ian (Cheshire Lad) post on PL last October, Costa pointed him to the paint shop next door to Simon Emery's service centre by the time out kiosk.
And he was well happy with the quote (about €50 a corner). I see this operation carried out regularly on "Wheeler Dealers" (Discovery). It's quite labour intensive... Tyre off, wheel cleaned in an acid bath or bead blaster, wheel polished to remove scuffs and kerb damage, then electrolitically powder coated with primer and top coat (gun metal grey merging into black being popular).
Then a final coat of laquer, tyre back on, and dynamic balance. Typically, £60 a corner in UK. But the wheel comes out looking much better than it did when it left the factory! And YOU will be much more careful with kerbs in the future, LOL!

Just for the record Al, men don't 'kerb' alloys![]()

Just a thought, Lloyd, but why not try asking Simon at Deals on Wheels? In his trade, I would have thought this would be the type of service he would use fairly often.
Might only be available in Limmasol or Nicosia, though...
