On my walk this evening the path was diverted along the beach part at the Athena Hotel. Security were making sure no uninvited guests could get near the venue.
I walked as far as the Alexander the Great Hotel, had a drink at Stavros's kiosk and then walked back. By the time I got to the Athena, the reception was about to start, and the staff had lined up as a guard of honour for the bride and groom. By the way, early yesterday morning at the kiosk, I spotted Stavros Flatley. Only recognised him by his tattoo.
The wedding at the Athena was the owners son, according to the security guard who I was talking to. There was also another huge wedding at the Cypria Bay Hotel, and there were lots of cars parked on and near the roundabout near that hotel.
I also noticed that the new kiosk which arrived during the last Bank Holiday is still there and the owners have made efforts to even landscape the area by making a flower bed and displaying potted plants.
Wonder if they have a licence?
Where you a guest at this wedding?
