Wheat cushion ...

Post by MacManiac »

We have had a wheat cushion we heated in the microwave for years until one of our cats decided to pee on it. Can anyone suggest where we might buy one locally?

I bought one from the Euro Shop just before they closed a couple of years ago. The Beauty Shop near Evangelismos is under the same management, perhaps try there. X

They are good to put on aches & pains as a heat source. I use mine like a hot water bottle. I’ve been trying to buy another for a couple of years but had no luck up to now.

We bought a couple of cherry stone cushions about 12 or more years ago. Similar to the wheat cushion, heat in the microwave (make sure you've wiped up any food splashes first  ) and use to ease discomfort or pain. The cherry stones give the cushion a lovely warm wood smell - and the cushions can be used as bed or foot warmers too. I believe they can also be used as coolers by freezing them first, but haven't tried that. Freezer's normally too full!

Thanks to all for your contributions. Our favourite pharmacist in Polis sorted us out today. Ann's back is feeling better as I type.
