Wow! I knew it was going to be difficult obtaining car insurance when we returned to the UK last year and we did find one that would accept our Cyprus No Claims Discount but at a price! And a stumbling block then was also my Cypriot/EU license. I have now changed to a UK license and obtained Insurance through my Bank ( which gives a 10% discount to customers) and my insurance has more than halved in price. Very pleased indeed!
For anyone contemplating returning some Insurance Companies were only accepting that I had held a license from the commencement of my EU one which was 2016 and yet I have held a license continuously for nearly 40 years. With this Insurance I have ensured that they will accept this.
