Complex Bio Plant Licence

Post by Uncle D »

Hi all, has anyone heard of this licence.
Some friends of ours have a Bio Plant on their complex and their management company have said that they now need this E1680 licence, and it is at some cost.
I have googled with nothing coming up on that licence, I was wondering if anybody has it or have ever heard of it.
Many thanks

Why are you telling him that?

I think that Varky may be correct as after reading through the email again, I think that the person who sent it who put E1680 meant the cost for the licence was €1680, apparently to be renewed every 4 years.
I have sent an email back asking for a conformation of what was written.
Thanks for the replies

That would certainly explain why you couldn't find it via your search.

Having some background information to the original question I did know that a maintenance company was offering to carry out the submission in question for €1,680.00, hence my ALT+1280 submission. I would therefore thank Uncle D for his foresight and welcome apologies from others for jumping to incorrect conclusions before letting the thread develop when all would have become clear and all I was doing was to try to help in a small unconnected way.

In the event that the validity of the situation becomes more clear I would also hope that any €1,680.00 charge for making the submission would not be repeated after 4 years at the same level.

It has been confirmed that it is the cost of the licence.
I have said that they do what Lloyd suggested, and also maybe get some other management companies to tender a quote for the complex contract, this may reveal if they require the same licence.

long document but might shed some light on things.

No it's not. My posting of ALT+0182 gives the Euro font which, in this case is relevant.

After a quick run through the document for which I provided a link (and I mean very quick) I was just wondering if the maintenance company is confusing 'bio-plant' with 'biomass plant'. The latter being equipment for generating electricity and which requires licences.

Just a thought.

I was just looking and saw nothing to do with Bio plant which is as you may know a sewerage system.
Thanks anyway

You can also get it by typing CTRL+ALT+4. That was what Exodus was alluding too.

But he didn't say that did he? Sorry I do not have the ability to work on telepathy......yet!

Why are we still discussing this as it is only a side show to the main title of the thread?

I really am lost with the Ctrl and alt but does anyone know about this bio plant licence? Is it just the one management company requesting it and if the law has been passed, where can you see it. Our complex has been told we have to pay it. €1860 not a small sum.

I know that Draintech used to install a lot of these, maybe they could advise you of any change in regulations?
